Union minister Ramdas Athawale on Monday adopted a seven-year-old male leopard at Sanjay Gandhi National Park’s (SGNP) leopard rescue centre.

This is how you can adopt wild animals at SGNP:

1. You can adopt one animal for a year

2. The amount paid towards adoption will be non-refundable

3. It has be paid in the form of a demand draft.

4. Even after adoption, the state will continue to own the animal
