Two months after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) passed the Development Plan (DP) 2034, it released a separate document for three land parcels in the city on Tuesday. Citizens will now have 60 days to submit suggestions and objections to the BMC.

The maps and plan related to the three land parcels are on display at the BMC headquarters near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, said an official from the DP department. Citizens can send their feedback via post to the BMC headquarters.

The three land parcels — 39.3 hectares in the Oshiwara District Centre, 47.37 hectares of A block in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and 27.37 hectares between LBS Marg and Mithi river in Kurla — were handed over to the BMC by the MMRDA in 2016. By this time, the DP-2034 had already been finalised, resulting in a separate document. The BKC land includes Bandra reclamation, Lilavati Hospital, ONGC Colony and a recreation ground. The plan includes development of a ramp connecting Bandra-Worli Sea link to Lilavati Hospital, which is likely to bring relief to commuters by reducing congestion during peak-hour traffic. It also reserves land between SV Road and Linking Road in Bandra for commercial and industrial zones.

How to send views via post

Write in to the office of chief engineer (Development Plan), 5th floor, municipal head office, Fort — with a headline, “Suggestions/objections to the draft development plan 2034 of three years”

You can also submit your views by visiting the under-construction BMC site portal.mcgm.gov.in, which will reopen next month.
