City youth, seniors gear up for Valentine's Day celebrations

"We used to go out for a movie to celebrate the day, but since she is not here, we decided to celebrate it virtually," said Mehta, a Bandra resident.

Lekha Dhedhia, 26, will be celebrating the day with a group of eight 'single' friends. "We will celebrate it as a made-up couple, but with a role-reversal, where the boys will prepare the dinner, and girls will look after the games for the night. One couple who randomly came together as part of this two years ago ended up getting married recently," said the Andheri resident.

This Valentine's Day, several senior citizens will also celebrate in a novel way, thanks to an events management company. More than 50 couples will get a chance to get on a chopper and have dinner on a boat. "This is a unique way of celebrating love and we will give them a day they will remember forever," said K Ravi, director of the firm.
