Film producer told to stall distribution of poster

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Monday directed the producer and director of the Bollywood film, ‘Kaun Hai Waha?’ to stall the publication and distribution of the posters of the film.

The decision was taken after members of the Catholic Secular Forum (CSF) met CBFC officials objecting to the “controversial portrayal” of Jesus Christ in the film’s posters and print advertisements.

“We have asked the filmmaker to remove posters and cease publication of the advertisements in newspapers after meeting members of CSF,” said JP Singh, regional officer, CBFC.
