As part of the Hindustan Times Campus Calling initiative, a series of career counselling sessions are being organised for students from Classes 10 and 12, free of cost. The first of these will take place at Bhaidas Auditorium in Vile Parle on Friday. A total of 12,000 students and parents are expected to attend the event.

The Vile Parle workshop will be held from 2pm to 5pm and will be divided into three sessions of 60 minutes each, with two 15-minute breaks. Education and career counsellors will elaborate on commerce, arts and science streams and the career options in each one-hour session. “We will highlight the course options after Class 10 and Class 12,” said Parveen Shaikh, head counsellor, Young Buzz counselling.
Five counsellors will be present to answer students’ queries at ‘Ask the Counsellor’ desk. Students will also be given free copies of the HT Campus Calling magazine, a guide to the 2011 admissions process.
