Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan is scheduled to watch the movie at INOX theatre in the afternoon but multiplex threatres decided to have a limited release of the movieon Friday. FUN cinema is the only multiplex which will show the movie at noon today.

Early morning shows of the film were cancelled across Maharashtra, which led the Sena to claim victory. The party said it will continue to protest till Shahrukh Khan apologises to Bal Thackeray.
Meanwhile, Bajrang Dal activists tear posters of MNIK in Ahmedabad, there are also reports of no MNIK shows in Jabalpur, MP.
On Wednesday, Mumbai multiplexes like Cinemax, Fun, had scrapped advance booking of the flick, fearing vandalism by Shiv Sainiks.
The exhibitors are holding a meeting to decide on a release date or a limited release for the film.
On their part, Mumbai police has provided unprecedented security for the safe release of the film and assured people of ample protection. Even Chief Minister Ashok Chavan urged people to be fearless and not bow before Sena threats.
