Mumbai's drug queen Baby Patankar took shelter at retired Army man’s house

The crime branch will soon record the statement of the man. “Some people from his village told him that she was hiding from the police, but he was too terrorised to approach the police station,” said Dhananjay Kulkarni, deputy commissioner and Mumbai police spokesperson.

A team of the unit one of crime branch has found three mobile phones and a pen drive belonging to Patankar from Kerwade. Investigation has also revealed that the 112-kg Mephedrone seized from the house of constable Dharmaraj Kalokhe in Satara and the additional 12kg found in his locker at the Marine Drive police station are part of a 150-kg consignment. The police are yet to find the remaining stash and suspect it might have been sold.

The crime branch has also sought the call detail records of the 14 mobile phone numbers belonging to Patankar. Some other numbers are incomplete and Patankar is being questioned about it.

The unit one of the crime branch on Friday also got the custody of Patankar’s son Satish till Tuesday. Satish was earlier questioned by the Satara and the Marine Drive police.
