"There is no clinical or management similarity between two diabetes patients and there is no magic formula for all," Secretary of the forum Dr Rajiv Kovil, who is conducting seminars and workshops today simultaneously at 30 different locations in Maharashtra, said.

The patient education-seminars-cum-workshops is held under the theme 'Diabetes Prevention and Management', Kovil said adding the forum aims to bring about a consensus in 'Diabetes Practice and Management' and play an important role in preventing the spread of diabetes and the cardiovascular pandemic in India, he said.

"'Diabetes and its complications' is tagged as "modern world's biggest health scourge" and the Indian context is the worst of all, as it holds the dubious distinction of having the highest number of diabetic cases in the world – about 40 million people in the country are suffering from diabetes," Kovil said.
