Mi Marathi channel honoured Bharat Ratna awardee Lata Mangeshkar as part of its celebrations to mark the completion of Maharashtra’s 50 years. The finale of the event titled Salaam Maharashtra, was held at the Andheri Sports Complex.

Mi Marathi channel honoured Bharat Ratna awardee Lata Mangeshkar as part of its celebrations to mark the completion of Maharashtra’s 50 years. The finale of the event titled Salaam Maharashtra, was held at the Andheri Sports Complex.
The event aimed at honouring and acknowledging people of the soil for their excellence in diverse fields such art, sports, science and social work. Others honoured at the function included social activists Prakash and Mandatai Amte, scientist Raghunath Mashelkar, Governor Tripura and Padmashree Dr DY Patil, industrialist Shantanurao Kirloskar’s, Kirloskar group and Bollywood actor Dharmendra.
