On Monday, American singer Lana Del Rey posted a self-directed video for her track Carmen, from her hit album Born To Die.
In the style of her famed YouTube viral clip for Video Games, the new video features a collection of found footage, black-and-white clips of New York City and strippers, and images of Del Rey in an array of vintage outfits, on the back of a motorcycle, and singing live onstage.
The Carmen video wraps up with Erik Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1 and scenes of dancing women. So far, the video has been viewed almost 640,000 times on YouTube.
According to music blog rumors, her track Summer Time Sadness will likely get a more professional video treatment with a release coming soon.
