Music aficionados can enjoy a variety of genres at an upcoming concert, titled Pratha. The event will feature three popular father-son duos from the music fraternity. While Shankar Mahadevan will perform with his son, singer Siddharth Mahadevan, ghatam maestro Vikku Vinayakram will present a musical recital with his son, V Selvaganesh, a renowned kanjira player.

The event will also feature percussionist Taufiq Qureshi and his son, Shikhar Naad Qureshi. “In a show like this, the relationship of a father and his son becomes the soul of the concert. I am looking forward to performing with Siddharth,” says Shankar.

{{/usCountry}}Selvaganesh, who has performed with his father on several occasions in the past, is also looking forward to this show. “I am excited because I have never performed with other father-son duos,” he says, while Taufiq adds, “Seeing your son perform by your side is a matter of pride.”
