In the passing away of music director Om Prakash Sonik on Thursday, one of last members of the golden era of Bollywood music has gone. Recent generations may not recall the duo of Master Sonik and his nephew Om Prakash Sonik, but in their day, they were a golden pair giving some of the biggest hits of the day.

Sonik-Omi composed music for films such as Sawan Bhadon, Dharma, Mahua and Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya.
