Bassists and drummers traditionally have a supporting role in a band, but Basspunkt a unique concept brings the bass and drum in centerstage providing a unique flavour to the music lovers. Guitarist Brennon Denfer and drummer Joshua Grant surely impressed the audiences at India Habitat Centre with their unique fusion. The Bass and drum concert was organized in the capital on June 17.

“We’have worked on jazz and blues over the years. We have also worked in Bollywood. We have dabbled into various genres of music,” says Partha Dutta, Managing Partner, BassPunkt Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.

The project is quite close to their heart and it took them more than a year to conceptualise it.

“It's not the European drum and bass, we have a lot of variety. We also feature other artistes like violinist and pianist towards the end of the concert, says Partha.

Meanwhile he is happy that their hardwork has got them rewards. “We have received very good feedback from the first show”, says the excited Dutta.

The band is now extending its wings and planning to perform abroad. “We are now looking forward to concerts outside India – in Singapore, Thailand, Bangkok etc.”
