THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government announced an ambitious programme ‘Sampoorna Bhavanam’ aimed at ensuring dwellings for all in the state.

Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the Left Front government will construct multi-storeyed housing complexes across the state to accommodate the homeless.

“In five years, we will ensure houses for all. At least 2 lakh houses will be built under the initiative called ‘Sampoorna Bhavanam’,” Vijayan said.
Such houses cannot be sold or transferred to check misuse, and the government will set up a high-level committee to identify the beneficiaries.
