MUMBAI: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray lashed out at actor Salman Khan for his support to Pakistani artistes, saying he should go to Pakistan and work there if he wanted to support them.
Thackeray also warned Khan and his supporters that their films would be banned if the support continued.
“Salman Khan should go to Pakistan, take work permit, and shoot his films there. Here our soldiers are dying fighting terrorists and he is interested in just films and songs,” said Thackeray.
He also accused Khan and other Bollywood actors supporting Pakistani artistes of vested business interests over nationalism. “Both Salman Khan and other Bollywood actors did not express sorrow over the deaths of our soldiers but are on the forefront over defending Pakistani actors. They are all concerned over the business generated in the Pakistan territory. If Bollywood actors continued supporting Pakistani actors, we will ban their films. Actors need to understand that the country is more important than their films,” Thackeray added.
