The contract that has a budget of approximately 290 crore was signed by H S Anand, director (Rolling Stock) DMRC, and senior representatives of DMRC and NMRC at the Delhi Metro headquarters in Metro Bhawan.

“As per the agreement signed on Friday, the consortium of contractors will provide wireless communication based train contact (CBTC) system and all telecommunication systems for display and CCTV cameras, among other facilities. The technology will be provided for all the 21 stations and the depot on the 30 km Noida-Greater Noida project,” Santosh Yadav, managing director of NMRC, said.

Around 50 per cent of the work on the link is over and the link is likely to be opened by the end of 2017 as per schedule, NMRC officials said.

“The DMRC will be providing such assistance till the NMRC develops the expertise to take over the operations and maintenance,” Yadav said.
