Incredible drama in New Delhi, and you have to say IPL 2026 is up and running! With DC’s backs against the wall, David Miller produced a hitting display right out of the top shelf to bring it down to 2 from 2. But it wasn’t game over, and a couple of errors gifted the win and the two points, by a solitary run, to Gujarat Titans. A shake-up in the IPL table after one of the great matches in recent IPL history.(PTI)

Mukesh Kumar removed Sai Sudharsan early, and DC would have been happy to bring in out-of-sorts Jos Buttler. But needing to find some runs, Buttler took advantage of a flat deck and the small confines of Arun Jaitley Stadium. He exploded through the powerplay, tonking five sixes to reach his half-century. Kuldeep Yadav would end his night with the bat – but he had a role to play yet.(PTI)

Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar both reached fifty as well over the course of a 104-run partnership. For the under-pressure Sundar, it was the first of his IPL career, and will reinstill confidence in his place at number four in the team. In the death, DC pulled things back – Lungi Ngidi is currently looking like the best fast-bowler in the T20 format in world cricket, and he delivered another miserly spell thanks to his dipping, spitting slower ball, plus the wicket of Gill to boot.
