India made a couple of big selection calls in Chennai, one of them being to bring in Sanju Samson for Rinku Singh and beef up the top order. It was a call to get some quick runs early on and prevent off-spinners from targeting the lefty-heavy top three, and while his stay was short, it was an impactful 24.(Sportz Asia)

Abhishek Sharma was back amongst the runs early on – something that will give a lot more confidence and heart to him, and the Indian batting unit as a whole. He looked much closer to his usual self, and even took some extra time to get going as had been asked of him. With 55(30), fans will be hoping his bat gets hot at just the right time of the tournament.(PTI)
