Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal said Delhi’s health infrastructure didn’t collapse even during the peak of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) unlike other cities like New York and his administration has been able to manage the pandemic better. “We advised home-isolation for the infected and it helped us reduce the burden on our healthcare system,” Kejriwal said during his conversation with HT’s executive editor Kunal Pradhan on day two of the summit. While speaking on Delhi’s air pollution, Kejriwal stated that the rise in pollution levels in winter since October 10 was due to stubble burning, and is a factor that is not in the city’s control, but contributes to worsening of the viral infection in the capital. (HT Photo)

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also announced his government’s plan to launch a health information management system with a cloud-based data service. “This management system will start with government hospitals. In its modular structure, we are aiming to make it feasible enough to be plugged in instantly and will aim to include private and central government hospitals subsequently,” Kejriwal told HT.
