Chile wildfires have left 24 people dead and more than 2,000 injured, while destroying more than 4,40,000 hectares (1.1 million acres) of forest in the regions of Biobio, La Araucania, Nuble and Maule, an area equal to that of Puerto Rico. Authorities recently informed that the fire is beginning to ease in the region. (AP)
