Over 200 people were killed and over 900 injured in a multiple train collision in Odisha's Balasore district on June 2. (ANI)

Around 10-12 coaches of the Chennai-bound Coromandel Express derailed when it collided with a goods train and fell on an adjacent track near Balasore. Another train from Yeswanthpur to Howrah then collided into the deralied coaches of the Coromandel Express. The incident took place around 7pm.(File Photo)

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said his thoughts were with the bereaved families. "May the injured recover soon,” tweeted Modi, who said he had spoken to the railway minister and that “all possible assistance” was being offered. (ANI)
