Flame at Amar Jawan Jyoti merged with National War Memorial
"The flame of the Amar Jawan Jyoti is not being extinguished. It is being merged with the flame at the National War Memorial," said government sources.

Tribals and farmers affected by the Ken-Betwa river-linking project stage a symbolic Chita Andolan (pyre protests), Jal Satyagraha and hanging satyagraha by placing nooses around their necks, over their demands of better compensation and rehabilitation, in Chhatarpur district, Madhya Pradesh.
