Thailand Daycare Attack: Thais mourn victims of child-care centre shooting
A stream of people, including Prime Minster of Thailand Prayuth Chan-ocha, other government representatives and relatives of the victims, left flowers at the day care center where the shooting took place.
Grieving relatives of the Thailand massacre victims gathered at the child day care centre in Thailand on Friday where a day earlier a former policeman had slain 34 people in a knife and gun rampage that horrified the nation. At least 24 of the 36 people killed in the shooting were children, aged between two and five years.(AFP)

Police identified the attacker as Panya Kamrap, 34, a former police sergeant who was fired earlier this year because of a drug charge involving methamphetamine.(AFP)

Kampar had reportedly gone to the daycare centre to collect his child after attending a court session earlier in the day, police spokesperson Paisal Luesomboon told broadcaster ThaiPBS. When he did not find his child there, he began the killing spree. "He started shooting, slashing, killing children," Paisal said.(AFP)
