Rai, the 15th typhoon to hit the Philippines this year, engulfed villages in floods, trapped residents on roofs, toppled trees and knocked out power in southern and central island provinces, where more than 300,000 villagers had fled to safety before the onslaught, officials said.
Typhoon Rai, which made landfall in the Philippines last week, has killed at least 208 and around 52 people still remain missing, the national police spokesperson said on Monday.(AP)
