Burglary at former President Pratibha Patil relative’s residence in Pune

House of a relative of former President of India Pratibha Patil was broken into and robbed by an unknown person in the late hours of Thursday.
The incident came to light after the Nigdi police received a complaint through a phone call from Hawaldar Dhimelo that the residence of Narendrasingh M Patil (32) was broken into on Friday morning. Hawaldar Dhimelo was informed by the watchman of the apartment building where Patil lives.
Patil’s house in Pradhikaran, Nigdi, was locked from the past 15 days as he was in Delhi. According to the police cash worth Rs 2.5-3 lakh was reported missing from the house by Patil.
The case is being looked into by Police Inspector Shankar Autade of Nigdi police station. He said that Patil is a distant cousin of the former President. He is visiting his son, who works in Delhi, Police Inspector autade said.
