Four unidentified thieves broke into three shops in Gurudwara colony, Lohegaon, and decamped with ₹11,000 cash.

The incident took place at around 4:20 am on Saturday. The activities of the thieves were caught on close circuit television (CCTV) cameras.
As per the FIR registered with Vimantal police station, ₹7,000 was stolen from Bajrang sweet shop and ₹4,000 was stolen from Noori bakery. The thieves had also broken into Snehal enterprises, an electronics shop, but could not find any cash.
The CCTV footage has captured the thieves in action at the sweet shop and the bakery. They wanted to commit theft at other shops too, but a man residing in the building opposite the bakery raised an alarm, making the accused flee the spot.
It is suspected that they might have committed burglary at other places too.The role of some local gangs involved in thefts is also being looked into, police said.
