Justice AS Gadkari revoked the bail in view of the fact that five different offences have been registered against Shaikh after he was released from jail.
On August 1, 2012, five co-ordinated low-intensity explosions took place on Jungli Maharaj Road in Pune, injuring one person. Expressing doubts about the prosecution case connecting Shaikh with the blasts, on October 1, 2015, the HC had granted him bail.
