The Cyber crime cell of the Pune police have arrested one in a case of cyber bulling. The accused would create fake Instagram profiles of women, and share their contact information on the internet.

The accused, identified as Rvi Paswan, was picked up from Kolhapur.Police officials stated that, he would befriend college girls from Sinhgad road, Kothrud, Deccan among other areas in the city on Instagram. He would obtain their contact information from them and then ask them for phone numbers of other girls. When the victim would refuse to share her friend’s contact information, he would make a fake profile of the victim and share her phone number on the internet. The victim would then be harassed with calls from strangers.
After receiving several complaints from college girls in the city, the cyber branch of police officials formed a team consisting of Jairam Paigude, police inspector; Kiran Aute, sub-inspector; Manda Nevse, sub-inspector and policemen Shirish Gavde, Aadesh Chalwadi,Madhuri Doke, and Jyoti Diwane.The officials nabbed the accused from Kagal taluka, Kolhapur.
Paswan is a native of Bihar. A case against him under relevant sections has been booked at Sinhgad police station. Further investigation is currently on in the case.
