The first year junior college (FYJC) admissions of Class 11, centralised admissions procedure (CAP) closed on July 18, with 1,631 confirmed seats and over 200 unverified seats.

As per the information released by the office ofDeputy Director of Education, the first part of the admission form has been completed by 1,107 student, while 1,558 students have completed the second form. With the close of the second round, after the brief date extension due to irregularities in confirmation of seats as per the 10 preferences given to the students, the total number of students who have confirmed their seats stands at 1,631.

Previously, the education department had to push the deadline for round one completion from July 13 to July 14, aftera total of 23,643 out of the 48,315 candidates, who were allotted admissions , did not confirm their seats.

Out of the total number of allocations in Round 1, from first preference to the 10th preference, 19,991 students had got their first preference. For them, it is mandatory to register with the respective colleges and confirm their seats according to their preference. Failing to do this would result in a rejection from the FYJC admission process. This effectively means that the admissions of these students from the first preference list, who had failed to confirm their seats by 12 noon, could be jeopardised.

According to recent reports, a total of 3,327 students have not yet verified their part 1 forms, while 251 students are yet to verify the second part of the Class 11 admission form.
