Two children drown in Yerawada school water tank

The two children were identified as Rudra Chavan and Rudra Bhujbal, both between the age of six and seven.

Two school children fell in a water tank and drowned on Sunday afternoon at Matoshree English Medium School in Lakshminagar area of Yerawada.  

The two children were identified as Rudra Chavan and Rudra Bhujbal, both between the age of six and seven.  

The incident happened at around 3pm at the water tank of the school. The police were still searching for the bodies of the two children.  

Three Chennai-based student, Danish Raja, Sarvanna Kumar and Santosh Ganesh, all 14-year-olds, had drowned in the backwaters of the Mulshi dam in Katakhadak village on Wednesday during a summer camp.  

Incidentally, another person, identified as Ganesh Pandurang Gajre, 23, had drowned on Saturday evening in the Bhima river that flows through Pimpri.
