16,00 crore sanctioned for roads: Manohar Lal Khattar

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the state government had sanctioned Rs 1,600 crore for construction of roads while a new policy was being formulated to upgrade schools and recruit 20,000 teachers.

Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that the state government had sanctioned Rs 1,600 crore for construction of roads while a new policy was being formulated to upgrade schools and recruit 20,000 teachers.

Addressing the 'Pragati rally' at Hathin in Palwal district, Khattar said that apart from recruiting 13,000 police personnel, the government would also soon initiate the process to fill up 50,000 other vacancies.

Assuring adequate drinking as well as irrigation water supply to all villages of the area, Khattar sanctioned the construction of Rs 45 crore bypass to give boost to industry in Hathin.

He also approved construction of a road from Jaindapur to Dehlaka and a road from Jaindapur to Mandloka, besides Rs 8.25 crore worth sewerage project in industrial area of Hathin and other development works worth over Rs 5 crore.

He said that the state government had done during its first seven months what other governments would have done in 14 months. The government also helped the farmers whose crops were damaged due to natural calamities recently, he said.
