200,000 YouTube hits to song directed by CAMS Student

Ishaan Sharma, a B Tech third year student in TV, film production and media technology at the Centre for Advanced Media Studies (CAMS) at Punjabi University, Patiala, is receiving rave reviews for his skills.

He has recently directed and cinematographed a Punjabi song, "Jatt Desi" for leading Punjabi singer, Ravinder Grewal.

After its world premiere on TV channels, the song has become so popular on YouTube that it has attracted nearly 200,000 views in just about 10 days.

Ishaan got this assignment following his outstanding performance as assistant cinematographer in six short films for Hindustan Zinc Limited, produced by Fahrenheit Films Pvt Ltd, Mumbai. Earlier, Ishaan was also associated with a show "Director's Cut" by Star Network.

An accomplished singer, he has also worked as a cinematographer in various short films, produced by CAMS. Currently, he is working on a project with noted Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi.
