The police had seized these vehicles from Satlok Ashram after storming it on November 19 to dig out its head, Rampal Dass. They are silent about the incident but have teams after the culprits. Rampal was kept at the Civil Lines police station on Monday evening, where press photographers were allowed to take his pictures.

On Tuesday evening, the police produced him before judicial magistrate Sohan Lal Malik on the completion of five-day remand in a case registered on November 19 at Barwala.

The police wanted to keep him for another week to get more leads but the magistrate gave them only six days. Before the police took him to the court, they brought him to the civil hospital here for medical examination, in which doctors found him fit.

Rampal, 63, was produced before the Punjab and Haryana high court a day after his arrest on November 19 in connection with a contempt case and, on the night of November 20, Hisar duty magistrate Priyanka Jain remanded him in police custody for five days on the charges of sedition, murder, attempt to murder, waging war against the state, rioting, illegal confinement, and other offences.
