7 girls arrested in PGI exam were facilitators not candidates

A day after seven girls were arrested while taking PGIMER’s admission test for the postgraduate course, it was revealed that they were not candidates but were only acting as facilitators for the actual candidates.

A day after seven girls were arrested while taking PGIMER’s admission test for the postgraduate course, it was revealed that they were not candidates but were only acting as facilitators for the actual candidates.

In a revelation following the incident, all the girls arrested were not MBBS and some of them were only matriculate and intermediate pass. The CBI DIG Mahesh Aggarwal said “We are verifying the authenticity of the degrees provided by some of the candidates for taking the post graduate examination. In fact there are some candidates who were not even qualified to appear in the test as they did not have an MBBS degrees .”

According to sources, the accused were given the task of scanning the question papers and send it to their base camps, which were set up in a hotel located in Sector 22, Sector 35, Sector 42 and Burail, from where the questions were forwarded to experts located in Patna and Hyderabad.

CBI public prosecutor Pawan Kumar Dogra said, “They have been sent to police custody for further probe into the matter where we would know the real identities of all who are arrested along with the beneficiaries, and to whom they were reporting or rather who was the master mind. All this interrogation will give us details of the required evidence in the case.”
