In order to ensure the presence of Bharatiya Janata party workers at "Fateh" rally to be addressed by Narendra Modi on February 23 at Jagraon in Ludhiana district, the BJP state unit has directed its district unit presidents to do proper registration of workers expected to attend the rally by their names and place.

As per the available information, the lists of the workers attending the rally from the rural and urban areas of each district across the state will have to be submitted to the state BJP unit before February 22.

BJP's spokesperson Harminder Singh said the move would help to get the exact number of BJP workers attending the rally.

The BJP has been expecting around five lakh people, including workers of Shiromani Akali Dal. at the rally.

"The district unit presidents have been directed to maintain record of workers coming from different mandals. However, it would also help in identifying their workers from that of the Akali Dal present on the occasion", he said.

Meanwhile, district unit president Anil Bajaj said around 3,000 workers from the Patiala urban area will attend the rally.
