Exam blues drives college student to suicide
Scared of not doing well in her examinations, a 22-year-old college student identified as Ista Bedi, a resident of Jhujhar Singh Avenue, committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance on Tuesday. The police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC.

Scared of not doing well in her examinations, a 22-year-old college student identified as Ista Bedi, a resident of Jhujhar Singh Avenue, committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance on Tuesday. The police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 of the CrPC.
ASI Narinder Kumar of the Gumtala police post, who is investigating the matter, said that the girl, who according to her kin was otherwise a bright student, was scared that she would not be able to perform well in her exams.
"She was apparently under depression and had called up her kin. When they reached home, she did not open the door. They took her out and rushed her to hospital after breaking the door," he said.
