Normal life was crippled in the state after higher altitude received fresh spell of snow on Tuesday.
The tourist town of Manali received 10 cm of snow while Shimla received 5 cm of snowfall. Rohtang Pass, which is already closed for vehicular traffic, received 90-110 cm of snow.
Meanwhile, nearby tourist town of Narkanda and Kufri experienced 12 cm and 8 cm of snowfall respectively.
The higher reaches of the tribal district of Kinnaur district also received moderate to heavy snowfall, cutting it from the rest of the state. Kalpa received 52 cm of snow while Keylong received 18 cm and Khadrala received 12 cm of snow. Sungari, near Rohru, received around 30 cm of snowfall while Kharapthar received 12 cm of snow.
The fresh spell of snow has further plummeted temperatures across the state. The state capital of Shimla recorded a minimum temperature of 0.7 degree celsius while Keylong in Kinnaur district recorded coldest at -6.5 degree celsius. Saluni recorded -8.5 degree celsius temperature while Manali and Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded -1.4 and -9.8 degree celsius respectively.
Some parts of the state were also lashed with mild to moderate rains. Bhuntar in Kullu district received around 22mm rain while Shimla received 18mm and Manali recorded 29 mm of rainfall. Dharamsala town received 20 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
Vehicular traffic was disrupted as several roads remained covered under snow. Districts of Kinnaur has been cut off from the rest of the state while roads leading to Rohru and Chopal areas were blocked near Kharapathar and Khidki while other road connecting Rampur to Rohru was blocked near Sungari.
An HRTC official said that several routes were canceled due to heavy snow in rural areas and few buses were stranded in Shimla district.

Power supply was also affected in few parts of Kinnaur. It is pertinent to mention here that electricity department had issued a notice of power cut in wake of necessary repairs in Kinnaur, Rampur and Rohru region a few days back.
