Gang of robbers loots bus near Ludhiana village

A gang of robbers, armed with weapons, looted a bus near Jarkhad village on late Thursday night. The miscreants thrashed the driver of the bus, the conductor and some passengers and fled after looting cash from them.

The miscreants thrashed the driver of the bus, the conductor and some passengers and fled after looting cash from them.

Police reached the spot and initiated investigation and an injured passenger was rushed to the hospital. The bus belonging to Amrit Bus Company was on its way from Ludhiana to Rara Sahib with around 35 passengers.

According to a passenger, Joginder Singh, two miscreants got into the bus near Alamgir village. As the bus neared Jarkhad, the other gang members who were chasing the bus on their motorcycle, intercepted it and forced the driver to stop after which they looted cash from the passengers.

Dehlon SHO Amandeep Singh Brar said the incident was a brawl involving the bus staff and a passenger.
