Slamming Punjab government for inviting Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif and Punjabi singer Daljeet Singh to perform during the concluding ceremony of 3rd Kabaddi World Cup, members of Istri Jagriti Manch has said that the government should have invited sportspersons if they wanted to promote sports.

State president of the sabha Gurbaksh Kaur Sangha said, "Instead of inviting bollywood personalities and Punjabi singers, the government should have invited famous sports personalities in order to promote sports."

General secretary of organisation Amandeep Deol said that difference in the prize money for winners in men and women categories was an example of gender bias.
