The LMC has sealed one building in Ishwar Nagar as the owner did not pay house tax and warned other building and mall owners, who have defaulted on payment. The LMC commissioner MS Jaggi said the action against defaulters would continue.

The amount that several colonies, commercial complexes and houses owe to the LMC in sewerage bills and house tax adds up to Rs 150 crore, of which Rs 56 crore is from property owners in Zone D.

Owners of buildings in basant vihar one colony are yet to pay Rs 45,000 as sewerage charges to the LMC. Even after the corporation issued notices to the society of the colony, the dues were not paid. The corporation has blocked sewerage connection to Sukhdev Enclave, a colony that was developed by the Improvement Trust.
