Ludhiana: Police register case after 10 months of 26-yr-old's death

The Salem Tabri Police, following a statement by Kamla Rani, mother of deceased, on Tuesday registered a case against five accused in Hari Kishan murder case, after 10 months of his death.

The Salem Tabri Police, following a statement by Kamla Rani, mother of deceased, on Tuesday registered a case against five accused in Hari Kishan murder case, after 10 months of his death.

The case has been lodged under Sections 328 (causing hurt by means of poison) and 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against Sanjiv Kumar, Lalit Kumar alias Laddi, Prince, Rana and Raju, who reportedly were 26-year-old Kishan alias Sonu's friends. Earlier, the police had filed the proceedings under Section 174 of CrPC.

In her complaint, Kamla stated that her son Sonu, a resident of Guru Har Sahai Nagar, was a driver at a retail outlet and went missing on July 10, 2014. She added that on July 11 his dead body was found lying under a tree on the side of Jassiyan road.

She also alleged that the accused were drug addicts and were forcing his son to smuggle the same for them. Kamla added that because his son denied smuggling drugs, following which the accused gave him some poisonous substance, which resulted in his death.

The police have launched a manhunt for the arrest of the accused.
