Man charged with killing brother for his property, wife

The police claim to have solved an 18-month-old murder case with the arrest of the victim’s brother, who had been the one to lodge the complainant. Senior superintendent of police Hardial Singh Mann said the Shambhu police had managed solve this murder case of Krishan Singh of Mohi Khurd village.

The police claim to have solved an 18-month-old murder case with the arrest of the victim’s brother, who had been the one to lodge the complainant.

Senior superintendent of police Hardial Singh Mann said the Shambhu police had managed solve this murder case of Krishan Singh of Mohi Khurd village, whose body bad been found near Gardi Nagar on the Surajgarh link road on April 12, 2013.

“Krishan was murdered by his brother, Jaswinder Singh, uncle, and nephew, who had hired a contract killer. Jaswinder also had illicit relations with the victim’s wife,” said the SSP. In the FIR, Jaswinder had stated that Krishan Singh, a canter driver at Dera Bassi truck union, had a day before his murder, loaded his vehicle with spare parts and made a halt near Banur, from where he had gone missing.

His body was found the next day.

“Initially, we failed to make a breakthrough in the case; but based on a secret input observed the activities of the Jaswinder and came to know about his illicit relations with the victim’s wife, Manjit Kaur. The family of Krishan’s mother had transferred 5 bigha ancestral land in his name,” said SSP Mann.
