Addressing mediapersons here on Friday, he promised to work for the progress of people by taking up social issues.
He said his 16-point manifesto includes issues of equal rights for men and women in terms of share in property, especially in the tribal districts like Kinnaur; grants of up to Rs 5 lakh for the volunteers of SSB, who have crossed the age of 45 years; regularisation of 8500 home guards; better communication network in Rampur, Kullu, Pangi, Bharmour, Lahal, Kaza, Spiti, Kinnaur, Pandrah Biesh; besides others.
Other assurances listed include opening of an International Tourisim University in Manali for promotion of tourism study in the state; provision of electricity at 50 paisa per unit to people in hydel project-affected areas; implementation of the 85th Constitutional Amendment.
Snehi, a lawyer from Nirmand in Kullu district, had previously contested the Mandi parliamentary by-elections in 2013. He got 6,057 votes, standing third.
