In a shocking incident, four miscreants kidnapped the security guard deployed at a State Bank of India ATM on Lohara road after failing to cut open the ATM machine.
The security guard identified as Suresh Kumar told the police that four miscreants turned up at the ATM on Saturday and started trying to cut open the machine with a gas cutter. When he tried to stop them, they overpowered him and held him captive.
But the miscreants failed to cut open the ATM as their gas cutter ran out of fuel. Frustrated, the accused kidnapped him and took him in the car and later threw him out near Ishar Nagar before fleeing.
After the accused left the spot, he immediately sounded the police. Assistant commissioner of police (ACP) Amandeep Brar reached the spot and initiated investigation.
