NCSC summons Khemka to Delhi on Feb 11

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has summoned senior Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemka to its office at New Delhi on February 11 in connection with a recent spat between two persons in Chandigarh.

The National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) has summoned senior Haryana IAS officer Ashok Khemka to its office at New Delhi on February 11 in connection with a recent spat between two persons in Chandigarh.

The NCSC vice-chairman Raj Kumar Verka who held a camp court here on Tuesday to hear the complaint of one Ravinder Kumar, told HT that he had summoned Khemka on February 11 to hear his comments on the complaint of Kumar in which he alleged that one RP Singla with whom he had a property dispute and Khemka harassed him as he had spoken against them.

Verka also directed the Chandigarh police to conduct an independent investigation into a case registered against Kumar on a complaint filed by Singla. Stating that he had asked police to submit its report to him within 15 days, Verka said that the police had allegedly registered a case against Kumar despite a court stay in the case.
