A chamber should be allotted to two lawyers. This is one of the two conditions added to the notification on the allotment of lawyers' chambers in the state by the Punjab government, according to a communication received here by the bar association from the deputy secretary of revenue, rehabilitation and disastrous management department of Punjab.

The other condition lays down that if a lawyer, who is allotted a chamber, fails to pay regularly for three months, he or she will be asked to vacate it after serving a 15-day notice. The communication said that new conditions should be included in the agreement to be signed by the deputy commissioner and the association.
