One person was killed and six were injured when their vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road while they were on their way back from a shrine in Himachal Pradesh, police said on Monday.

According to sources, the accident took place on Sunday when the family from Ludhiana was returning after paying obeisance at the Mata Chintpurni shrine in Una district of Himachal Prades.
The deceased is identified as Barjesh Kaushal,30, driver of the vehicle.
The injured have been hospitalised, police said.
