Candidates with at least 45% in any course of social science and 50% in other discipline at graduation level or with MA/MSc/MTech/BTech degree can apply for the course by August 21.

PU vice-chancellor Professor Arun Kumar Grover said good governance and leadership skills are a basic necessity at every level and one of the core objectives of this programme is to enhance just, fair and responsive leadership and governance.

He further added that the courses would be open to fresh students as well as persons who are already working.

Flexible approach for working people

For those who are already working, the course provides a flexible approach for classes, which would be held in the afternoon/evening and full day on Saturdays so as to enable persons in various sectors to take advantage of the programme.

It is also proposed to have the students work for three weeks as governance associates. The focus would be more on practical learning rather than lecture mode.
