The car sales executive, Varun Arora, whose body was found just 200 yards away from police station-7 on Monday morning, was murdered for drug money by an old friend and three accomplices of housing board colony Victim Arora and kingpin Atul Kumar of Garha were drug addicts. As per police, former had taken Rs 15,000 from the accused for purchasing drugs. Arora had undergone treatment for de-addiction few months back.
As per the police, on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday, accused called the victim in the fields near police station to consume drugs. Atul along with accomplices Shiv Parkash (18), Sahil (19) and another accomplice Sahil of Garha, who is absconding, sought his money back from Arora. They accused took Arora’s scooter’s key, after which the victim went back to get the second one. Accused attacked Arora with sharp-edged weapons, several times, under the influence of drugs.
On the basis of victim’s call records, police reached Swaraj of Alipur village who informed that his phone was stolen on August 25.
On the basis of their location at the time of crime, both Sahil and Shiv Parkash were arrested by police. Shiv Parkash studies in Class 12 while Sahil works in football manufacturing unit at Suranassi.
The police said that absconding Sahil and kingpin Atul will be arrested soon. Varun’s half-naked body had multiple injury marks including eyes, head, abdomen, and other parts.
