The opposition party condemned the killing of Hindu Sangarsh Sena leader Vipin Sharma in Amritsar on October 30 and accused Singh of ‘politicising’ the police administration for the ‘benefit’ of Congress leaders.

In a joint press statement, leader of opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira, AAP leader Aman Arora and deputy leader of opposition Sarabjit Kaur Manuke alleged the state police had ‘failed’ to stop ‘political killings’. The party said that Amarinder Singh should give up home affairs as he has ‘failed’ to perform his duty as the chief of police department.

An AAP delegation will meet governor Kaptan Singh Solanki to request him to remove Amarinder from the home ministry, the party said. AAP also ridiculed former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal for his criticism of the law and order.
